A large, dark haired man is sprawled in a chair in the green room. He has black, feathered wings, and is wearing a long leather trenchcoat. A bow and a quiver full of arrows rest against one leg.
Interviewer: (Swallows nervously) "Garvin, may I call you Garvin?"
Garvin: (Shrugs his broad shoulders) "Garvin, Gar, whatever you like."
Interviewer: "You probably get this question all the time, but when some humans picture a cupid, they envision a cute little cherub." (Examines Garvin from head to boots) "You are no cherub."
Garvin: (Scarred face twists into a grimace) "You think? See this." (Picks up his bow.) "This takes muscle to operate." (Pulls back the string) "No chubby baby can manage it." (Releases it with a satisfying twang) "Only a man can."
Interviewer: "But you do shoot people with love arrows?"
Garvin: "Hey, it's a job." (Spreads out his long legs) "It pays the bills, uses my skills." (Scowls) "Some of them, not many. I've been asking for more challenging assignments, but that damn Love Fairy has me on primary school duty." (Snorts) "It is insulting."
Interviewer: (Looks at notes) "And your Love Fairy is one Valentine."
Garvin: (Chuckles) "One Valentine is right, one luscious, curvy Valentine. Val's my woman, and she is almost more than even I can handle, all silk skirts and smoking pistols."
Interviewer: (Flips pages and frowns) "She's your woman? She claims you are, and I quote, 'a complete ass' and 'a cocky, arrogant bastard.'"
Garvin: (Sighs happily) "She loves me."
Interviewer: (Forehead wrinkles with thought) "I see." (Blows hair out of face) "So if you had one piece of advice to give to single people this Valentine's Day, what would it be?"
Garvin: "Stop spending Friday nights at the fucking library."
Interviewer: "That is a start." (Turns to the audience) "Garvin has agreed to answer reader questions. This is your chance to ask a bad ass cupid questions on love, likes, and other cupid or man mysteries. Please ask your questions in the comment section."
