Juniper Bell Goes Wild

Happy almost Valentine's Day, y'all! Thanks to Whipped Cream for hosting this fab event. Let's talk...PROPOSALS! I just got married, so I've got proposals on my mind. My sweetie proposed to me about a year ago in the least glamorous way possible. We were driving to pick up a bed we'd bought from a couple who were getting back together after a brief separation. The split was long enough so the guy bought himself a new bed, but short enough so he never used it. So we bought it, and for some reason my darling future husband found that to be the perfect moment to propose.

It makes sense, I suppose. We've only slept in that particular bed as an engaged or married couple.

My hero and heroine in my latest Ellora's Cave release, GO WILD, are facing a much more interesting situation! Lars has just proposed when the story begins, but Katia is struggling with some fears and doubts--not about him, but about herself. She's a sexual free spirit who isn't sure she's cut out for marriage even though she's madly in love with Lars. Here's the blurb, but first ....

I want to hear your proposal story! If you're married or engaged, how did it go down? Did he propose? Did you propose? If not married ... what's your dream proposal? Leave your answer in the comments and you could win your choice of any of my books!

Lars loves Katia. Katia loves Lars. Lars wants to marry Katia. Can he convince his free-spirited lover that marriage will be as fun as her sexually adventurous single days?

Never before has Katia been tempted to give up her carefree ways. She’s deeply in love with Lars, but she doesn’t know if he can handle her wild side—or wilder needs. But Lars is a hard man to resist. The former Olympic champion won’t give up, not when he knows just how to please her.

The people of Wild, Alaska, know the best way to survive winter is to let off a little steam. When his buddies hit town for Wild Nights, a notorious winter festival with one rule—“anything goes, nothing counts”—Lars has the perfect opportunity to prove he’s the man for Katia.

Lucky for Katia, “proof” includes four rugged Alaska men and one wildly erotic night.

Reader Advisory: Features an extended ménage (M/F/M/M/M) and references to bondage experimentation and sexual escapades of all types. Woohoo!

LOLOL, my hubby didn't have the funds to buy a ring, so since it was Christmastime, he gave me a silver, glittery twist tie bent into a ring.

I still have it in my jewelry box, lol!

I've been married forever to my first love, and I actually proposed to him. Not too romantically as it turns out, but it got the job done. And after all these eons, I still adore the man.

Proposal? I don't think we had one. As I recall, we both just agreed that we might as well make our folks happy by legitimizing things--since we had every intention of being together forever, anyway.

And then we eloped--which ticked them off after all. Oops. lol!

Loved Go Wild, btw. I assume there will be sequels?

I married my high school sweetheart. He proposed on Christmas Eve in front of my whole family. He wrapped my ring in a huge box and I had to open box after box until I got to the ring box. He was so sweet and nervous when he proposed!

Cathy, I admire a woman who does the proposing. I always thought I would, but it turned out the other way after all!

PG - Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Sequels ... yep, I got one in the works. And by the way, I believe I owe you a thank you for inspiring GO WILD with your flash fiction challenge. That was you, right??

Cindy - What a lovely story!! I can just picture him, all sweet and nervous. Thanks for sharing that!

It was a Valentines. I went to bed that night and there was a lump under my pillow. The lump was a ring box. :)

It's been a while ;) Let's see...

At one point, I must have mentioned that I found the beach a very romantic place. I'd just gotten back from a business trip; he picked me up from the airport with a bouquet of roses, and whisked me back to his place where he'd set up an indoor "beach" picnic, complete with a little palm tree and the soothing sounds of the waves (on CD ;)). After we had a chance to eat, he pulled out one last take-out container; in it was the engagement ring :) And he presented me with a journal he'd been keeping of our relationship to that date. It's still a treasured gift, partly because while he isn't the most communicative guy, he took the time and effort to spell out his feelings for me in black and white.

Congrats again on your recent wedding, Juniper! Woot!
