Patrice is the backbone of her company. She's never met a problem she can't conquer, except her stress. She's stretched to the breaking point until she finds Café Midnight. Her waiter serves up a cup of relaxing tea with hot passion on the side. She's found a way to truly relax, but is she willing to let her sexy waiter serve her at home?

4 Little Known Facts About Chamomile Nights

#1 - I don't drink coffee. In fact because of health reasons, I don't ingest caffeine of any kind (yes, that includes chocolate). I'm an herbal tea person. Tazo officially owns part of my bank account. When I learned of the Café Midnight anthology, my first question was whether or not the heroine had to order coffee. I was really pleased to find out the answer was no. Thus I made Patrice a tea drinker as well.

#2 - The model I used for the hero of Chamomile Nights is Emmanual Delcour. I saw him in a Showtime soft core porn known as Sin City Diaries (no longer on the air but a great show with decent plots) and just loved everything about him. He made a great template for the hero.

#3 - Patrice became a wedding planner/designer because I was watching a wide variety of wedding-type shows on WE TV and other such networks. After seeing how harried some of those designers and planners become, I figured that was the perfect high stress job to get my heroine to drink some calming tea.

#4 - The heroine has an idiosyncrasy I learned about being friends with Stephanie Burke (aka Flash). Flash used to have a bad habit of pulling out her hair when she became stressed. It was an unconscious habit that she even did in her sleep. That frustrated her to no end, so she finally decided to get it all cut off. She can't pull it out if there is nothing to grab. I gave Patrice the same issue, which is also why her hair is so short.

I'm really enjoying these behind the scenes facts. I don't drink coffee either, by choice not for health reasons. It sometimes feels like you aren't part of the new social scene if you aren't paying big bucks for overpriced coffee. I have heard of the hair-pulling disorder. The heroine sounds really interesting.

I really like reading all the interesting tidbits about a book and author with the little known facts. I also don't drink coffee (well maybe once a year) but that's because I've never had a craving for it. I sometimes drink herbal teas but not often. I like that there are so many varities out there.

It seems fun that Patrice is a wedding planner and I wouldn't mind seeing what a day of work is like for her.

Stacie - It does feel like I'm being left out of some club because of my lack of caffeine intake, but it's all good. No caffeine crashes later. :) I'm glad you're enjoying the facts.

Na - The amount of herbal teas available is mind-boggling and I love it. :) I usually drink more tea when I'm away from home at conventions and such.

Robin - I'm glad you're enjoying the tidbits.
