~ Writing & Life in Las Vegas – Las Vegas: 4 ~

Hi again! I’m wrapping up my day here with some questions and answers about life here in Las Vegas…

Q: Are there writing groups in Las Vegas?
A: Yes, there are! Here are links to three groups I know about:

Q: Are there writing/reader conferences held in Las Vegas?
A: Yes, there are! Here are links to conferences I know about:

Q: How does one deal with the summer heat in Las Vegas?
A: Stay inside/out of the sun during the day. If you need to be out, try not to stay out too long or enjoy the day poolside/in the water. ;) And, whether you’re inside or out, drink lots of water! It’s a desert out there…

Q: Do you base your stories in Las Vegas?
A: Sure do! The covers in my other posts today are stories that are set here in town. And, come September, my writing partner and I are due to have a co-authored story out through Evernight Publishing. An erotic contemporary romance with cowboys, ‘Wild West Weekend,’ is set on a fictional ranch in a town right outside of Las Vegas. Yee-haw! For info on that story (and future stories in the series) visit:

Thanks for joining me here today & reading my posts about Las Vegas. :)

The funny thing is that you would never know it. NYC Neighborhoods can change from block to block. I live on west end avenue in the 70s(for all u nyers, u know where this is) it is a pretty quiet residential street close to the Hudson river. But I can be in times square in less than 15 minutes door to door by subway!
