Hi there,

My name is Rachell Nichole and I’m stopping by today to talk a little bit about me, my writing, and my new book. First I’d like to give just a quick word of thanks to my hosts here and also to you for coming in to say hello. And now onto the fun stuff…

I’m an erotic romance author and I’ve been writing for a lot of years. I had my first creative writing class in fifth grade. It was a great experience. We talked about storyline and the ways to use dialogue and tons of grammar rules that I still employ on a daily basis. For a kid who loved to read and could never sleep, this class really changed my life. I used what I’d learned in the class every summer from then on, spending hours a night crafting my own masterpieces when I couldn’t sleep. Insomnia is a rough gig for a twelve-year-old, but it was the reason I got so involved in writing. What the hell else do you do at midnight when you’re twelve, really? We had a computer in the house and I learned to type faster than I could write by hand. It was incredible.

At that time in my life, I was mostly writing short stories. I wrote fantasy and horror, mostly. Romance didn’t come into most of my writing until high school. Around then, I started reading paranormal romances and my short stories got longer, and longer. Soon I was writing novels. And I also branched out into flash fiction and creative non-fiction. I love all three of these types of writing. Flash fiction is so strict and short that it forces every word choice to be so incredibly precise. And the storytelling you can do in such a small piece is thrilling. I also love creative non-fiction because it gives the option to embellish or shade the truth. You can have so much fun within the parameters of realty, can’t you?

And as for noveling, I love, love, love it! The depth of character and breadth of storyline is epic. I love creating characters and putting them through hell for page after page. We always hurt the ones we love, as they say, and this is never truer than for an author. If you’re a writer, you know what I mean. We love our characters, honestly, we do. But we torture the hell out of them for hundreds of pages. It’s evil and wonderful all at once.

Which brings me to two of my favorite characters, Layla Morgan and Tyler Lachlan. Layla and Tyler are both lawyers in New York City, working on opposite sides of the same case – and they don’t know it. Here’s a little blurb about them…

Layla Morgan is tired of getting into trouble, and getting hurt. And she fears her wild nature is going to strike yet again. But maybe this time, she’s finally met the guy that can stand close enough to touch her inner flames, and still not get burned.

Tyler Lachlan doesn’t stand a chance of resisting the delicious distraction of the mystery woman across Times Square. He’s sure there’s more to her than her sultry voice and mahogany thighs, but he doesn’t know if he’s willing to risk his career to find out.

Could what began as a voyeuristic affair across Times Square develop into something more?

An Affair Across Times Square is on sale today on For more info on the book, come on by my website, Facebook, or blog. Thanks again for stopping by, and a quick thanks to my cover artist Valerie Tibbs. Leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of An Affair Across Time Squares.
